Swipe Out Hunger: Ending hunger on college campuses

Swipe Out Hunger makes sure that access to food never stands in the way of of a diploma.

The Problem

36% of college students report skipping meals regularly due to financial constraints. With the increased access to university, new and diverse demographics are getting onto our college campuses but our universities do now know how to serve them. This lack of support around the basic needs of this demographic leaves low income students more likely to drop out and take longer to graduate. It's this same demographic for whom a college degree would be life changing. We seek to ensure that lack of access to something as simple as food doesn't stand in the way.

The Solution

We give food insecure students access to campus dining halls so they can enjoy a warm, nutritious meal and increase their academic, physical, mental, emotional and social health.
