2018 Congressional Elections

description
Republicans currently hold electoral majorities in both chambers of Congress. On Tuesday, November 6, 2018, the United States will hold its next Federal Midterm Election. In the House, all 435 House seats will be at stake; and in the Senate, 34 of the 100 seats will likewise be contested (although, it is worth noting that only 9 of those 34 contested seats are currently held by Republicans).  Midterm elections historically favor the party that is out of office. With Trump’s unprecedented unpopularity, Democrats stand to make major gains in 2018.  To win a majority in the House, Democrats need to gain 24 seats. To win a majority in the Senate, Democrats need to gain 3 seats.

Goal

Win back a majority of Democrats in the House and the Senate in 2018.
