Coalition of Women for Peace: Ending the Israeli Occupation of Palestine
Coalition of Women for Peace: Ending the Israeli Occupation of Palestine
The Problem
Since 1967, Israel has maintained a military occupation of Palestinian territories, and this occupation has engendered mass violations of Palestinian human rights over the last five decades. Tens of thousands of Palestinians have lost their homes and their businesses. Much of this takeover of Palestinian land has been driven by corporate interests.
The Solution
The Coalition of Women for Peace is a feminist organization with the aim of ending the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In the process, the Coalition hopes to create a more just society, one that does a better job incorporating women's voices in the public discourse. The Coalition is unwavering in its support of returning Palestine to its people, endorsing universal jurisdiction, and ending the seize of Ghaza. The Coalition of Women for Peace runs public campaigns and education programs that further feminist discourse in Israel and Palestine.
